Regarded as one of Brazil’s greatest heavy metal events of the year, the southern festival Zoombie Ritual Open Air left fans astonished when announcing Overdose on its line-up.
The announcement of the long-awaited comeback came as a big surprise to us all. The band will headline the festival with great names such as Destruction, Incantation, Belphegor, Enthroned, Terrorizer and many more. Also, compatriots Krisiun, Sex Trash and Nervo Chaos are joining the party. 39 bands have been confirmed so far, and up to five more are to be announced.

Mondo Metal contacted lead guitarist Claudio David, who confirmed the announcement, but did not give any further details about the comeback. The band’s last concert took place exactly 10 years ago, in 2014, when “Rock História” Festival gathered Shaaman, Korzus, Mad Dragzter and the French from Sweet Silence at Ginástico in Belo Horizonte. The ultimate show would take place four years later at the popular event “Virada Cultural” in São Paulo.
